A leading Estonian construction materials retailer OÜ Ehitus Service, operating under the Bauhof trademark, acquired 100% of the shares in Devest Ltd on 7 December 2010.

Devest operates several stores selling construction materials and household goods in the greater-Tallinn area, under the trademark Ehitusmarket.

As a result of the acquisition Bauhof becomes the largest player in the Estonian construction materials retail market, as the combined turnover of both companies in the previous financial year exceeded 1.1 billion kroons and they employ almost 570 people.

Tamme Otsmann Ruus Vabamets advised Bauhof in contract negotiations, legal due diligence and completion of the transaction, including the procedure of merger control with the Estonian Competition Authority.
