May 2009 – Training seminar: “Is it necessary to amend an employment contract with regard to entry into force of a new Employment Contracts Act?“
On 25 May 2009 Tamme & Otsmann organised a training seminar without charge, whose aim was to provide participants with practical instructions on which obligations the new Employment Contracts Act will bring along to employers.
The training seminar, which was conducted by Egle Käärats, Deputy Secretary-General on Labour Policy, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Ramil Pärdi, Labour Law Specialist, Tamme & Otsmann, was particularly aimed at persons responsible for employers’ personnel issues (for lawyers, personnel managers, members of the management).
The seminar provided an overview of the background to and the need for the new Employment Contracts Act and the most important amendments to labour law and labour relations. The second part of the seminar was held in the form of a discussion, during which everybody could raise relevant questions.
