On Tuesday 8 September, the Tallinn BlogFest 2009 conference with a large number of participants was held. The topic of the conference was commercial blogging.

At the conference companies, incl. Skype, Äripäev, Delfi, Postimees, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, that have come into contact with user-generated content, shared their experience in the field.

Attorney-at-Law Villu Otsmann took part in a debate at the conference and organised a ‘legal corner’ focusing on legal responsibility issues of bloggers. During the event Attorney Villu Otsmann raised a topic of whether edited press is the only possible media in Estonia or whether the protection of freedom of expression should extend to the hosts of user-generated content.
