Fields of practise
As an advocate, Sten’s main field of practise is advising clients in contract and commercial law. He is especially valued for his expertise in M&A transactions as well as in fields relating to real estate and construction, Sten also represents clients in related negotiations and judicial proceedings.

Professional experience
During his studies, Sten worked as a legal counsel in the Estonian National Museum and AS Microlink.

After graduating from the University of Tartu, Sten practised law in Law Firm Tark & Ko and through 1997-2011 as a lawyer and an advocate in Raidla Lejins Norcous, where his main specialisms included M&A, commercial and contract law, electronic communication, property law, construction and real estate development, infrastructure services and civil and administrative court procedure. In 2004 Sten was a visiting advocate in the Nokia Oyj multimedia group in Helsinki, Finland.

Education
Sten graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu in 1997. Through 2001-2002 Sten obtained a master’s degree (LLM) in international business law in the Central European University in Budapest and pursued post-graduate studies in international business and European Union law in the TMC Asser Institute.

Languages
Sten is fluent in English and able to communicate with clients also in Russian and Finnish.

Hobbies
Sten is a member of the Alumni Assembly of the Estonian Students Society. In his leisure time Sten practices amateur endurance sports.
