Fields of practise
Tõnis is a partner of the firm in charge of major transactional matters. He specialises in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, project finance and commercial negotiations, alongside related corporate work.

Professional experience
In 1994 Tõnis Tamme became a member of the Estonian Bar Association and for nearly 10 years worked at Law Firm Teder & Rask in the field of commercial law, advising domestic and international clients in contract negotiations and dispute resolution, incl. in the privatisation, takeover and turn-around of Estonian Air, Estonian Shipping Company and Estonian Railways.

In 2004 Tõnis established his own firm (as of 2005 known as Law Firm Tamme & Otsmann).

Education
Tõnis graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu in 1994. In 1995 he participated in the LL.M and practice placement program at the Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London and in Essex Court Chambers.

Languages
Tõnis is fluent in Estonian, English and Finnish, he can also communicate in Russian.

Extra-curricular
Advocate Tõnis Tamme has been an appointed member of the Ethics and Methodology Committee of the Estonian Bar Association since 2001.

He was the founding member of the Estonian Young Bar Association in 1996 and was later appointed as a member of the European Committee of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA).

Tõnis is a member of the Round Table Club Tallinn-7 and the National Secretary of Round Table Estonia for 2010/2011.

Tõnis is an alumnae of student fraternity Fraternitas Estica and was a member of its Seniors Board through 2007-2010.

In his leisure time Tõnis enjoys motorcycling, downhill skiing and sailing.
